BATIK PAINTING
Batik work happens in Kutch (Gujarat) and others few states. From my perspective of art, I have done a creative wall piece using Batik work.
To make wall piece using Batik work, take white cotton piece and make nice drawing on it. Give it an outline using Wax. First paint using light colour, then put Wax where you want to keep the painted colours. Now paint again on the same place. Once more, use wax at the same place and dye in a dark colour. After doing this, put it in hot water and remove wax from the white cotton place and you will get nice artistic wall piece. I create beautiful wall hangings using this old textile art.
MUD PAINTING & MIRROR WORK
This is a handicraft of traditional Kutch / Kachchh region. The artist has portrayed the daily life and culture of Maldhari community using his artistic creation on MDF board. This art used Mud and Mirror work accoompanied by colours. It remains intact for a long time. These frames can be hung on walls for decoration.
